Calligraphy Class

Today I hosted the calligraphy class which was fun.
We learned how to write horse, and by accident I wrote “loving horse”.

Mongolian Christmas crafts

Yesterday I attended the IWAM meeting, which consisted of Mongolian vendors selling Christmas crafts.

Mongolian crafts

Mark and I had a great time at the hand made craft fair on Saturday.
Here are a few things we purchased.
Some wool toys for Bowser and Princess Peach.

We both fell in love with the quilted wall hanging of a Mongolian woman.
It is made from recycled “dels” that people have worn.

Mongolian Christmas tree

Mark and I are back in Mongolia, and it feels like Christmas is in the air, with the cold weather we are having. The Mongolians would not say it is cold, as this is just the beginning of the winter season.
Today many of the department stores were decorating for Christmas so I figured our apartment could use some Christmas cheer. A wool Christmas tree.

Time to get crafty

On Saturday Laura and I went shopping for some cross-stitch projects, since I finished my sampler in China and enjoyed the stitching.

Many of the stores we googled we’re closed, but we did find one so I bought a few projects.
Yesterday I felt very lucky with my stop in Provo as they were having a great sale. I was shocked to see how expensive a little bag of beads with thread could be. The owner said they were not carrying them any more as some packets are a hundred dollars, plus the pattern which was 8.00.

Now the problem is which one should I do first.
