Today we visited the Prado museum

I loved the Bosco exhibit. Beautiful paintings of the life of Christ.

Delicious food and drinks

I am loving all the good food here, as very inexpensive and tasty

A walking tour of Madrid

We enjoyed a morning tour of central Madrid. These are the street signs.

Sampled different kinds of pork which were delicious

Madrid is famous for churros and hot chocolate

We enjoyed a glass of vermouth at a matador bar

The symbol for Madrid is the bear and the cherry tree

We visited a nunnery to purchase some cookies from a lazy Susan so we could not see the nuns

We took a taxi back to the hotel because it was so hot out.

A day to to Avila, and Segovia

We took a bus trip to Avila which is in the hills a couple hours from Madrid. It is the birth place of St. Theresa who is the patron saint of the church I attended as a child. Also the church where I got married.

In Segovia we toured a Spanish Castle.

I enjoyed a roasted suckling pig which is famous in this area.

A trip to Spain with Thais

My niece Caitlyn is studying Spanish in Spain, so I came along for a 2 week vacation to see Spain

We have spent 4 days in Madrid

The weather has been very hot.

Fun on our boat!

We spent a windy day on the lake in the boat

Having fun at the lake
